Petrol Diesel Price Hike: पेट्रोल- डीजल की कीमतें बढ़ने पर गुस्से में राहुल गांधी, बोले- ‘3 का झटका आ चुका, बाकी….’

Rahul Gandhi on Govt: Following the increase in petrol, diesel, and CNG prices, Rahul Gandhi has targeted the Modi government. He took a dig at the government by posting on X.

Following the increase in petrol, diesel, and CNG prices in the country, political rhetoric has intensified. Petrol and diesel prices in India have increased starting today. According to the latest data, the price of petrol has increased by ₹3.14 per liter and diesel by ₹3.11 per liter. CNG prices have also been increased by ₹2 per kg. The increased fuel prices will impact the pockets of ordinary people. Rising transportation costs could also increase the prices of many everyday items. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has targeted the central government on this issue.

Rahul Gandhi criticized the government in a post on the social media platform X. He wrote that the Modi government was at fault, and the public would have to pay the price. Rahul Gandhi sarcastically said that a shock of ₹3 had been given now, and the remaining recovery would be made in installments. The fuel price hike comes at a time of concern about international crude oil prices and rising tensions in West Asia. The government and oil companies say that global conditions have increased pressure on prices.

Congress targets the central government

The Congress party on Friday (May 15, 2026) targeted the central government over the increase in petrol and diesel prices, claiming that this is bound to increase inflation and will also lead to a decline in economic growth. Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that when the price of crude oil in the international market was low, the Modi government looted the consumers instead of providing relief to them. State-owned oil companies revised the prices of petrol and diesel on Friday after a gap of four years, increasing the prices of both fuels by Rs 3 per liter. According to sources, the price of petrol in the national capital Delhi has increased from Rs 94.77 per liter to Rs 97.77 per liter.
